A Few Ideas to Make Your Workplace Healthier
Unless you are lucky enough to work in an office building right on a beachfront, you probably aren’t doing yoga in the sand like the guy on my left. That doesn’t mean you can’t implement some healthy habits in your workplace. And they don’t just have to be your habits-spread it around and get everyone involved. Encourage each other to get up and move, or better yet, get a few of you to do it together. Motivation comes in numbers.
Tell the powers that be at your corporate headquarters that you want healthier choices in your vending machines. Get them to realize that healthier employees are better employees.
Is the office equipped with ergonomic furniture? Posture and body alignment can make all the difference in how a person feels throughout the day, and if they are feeling good, their work product is going to be better.
Better health habits at the office means less health care costs, and more efficiency in the workplace. Everybody wins!
